On November 1, 2025, SMC Medical Tourism Japan Division (Sapporo) and Medical Edge Co., Ltd. (Kamakura) signed a partnership agreement to bring Japan's leading gastrointestinal endoscopy technology to Vietnam.
In addition to providing technology, the two companies will also promote the introduction of Japanese-style clinical workflows and telemedicine. By utilizing medical digital transformation and health tech, they aim to contribute to improving Vietnam's medical environment, enhancing the quality of gastrointestinal disease treatment, and eliminating healthcare disparities.
In addition to providing the latest gastrointestinal endoscopy equipment and medical tools, this partnership will also include on-site training by Japanese physicians. Through hands-on training designed to simulate actual patient encounters, Vietnamese physicians will be able to directly learn Japanese-style precision examination techniques and diagnostic know-how.
