SMC Co.,Ltd. Medical Tourism Japan Division (Director and General Manager: Sakagami Katsuya) and Vietnam Hanoi AEGIS International Hospital signed a MOU regarding the introduction of Japanese-style AI and pathology technology in the medical field at the hospital's completion ceremony. Mr. Masafumi Saito, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, attended the MOU signing ceremony as a witness.

(Head office: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture; Representative Director and CEO: Osamu Iizuka), which has a corporate mission of "creating a world where necessary medical care can be received anytime, anywhere through technology" and develops and provides AI-equipped cloud systems that support digital pathology as a partner to medical professionals around the world, have concluded a partnership agreement to deploy Medmain Inc.'s medical AI program in the field of pathology to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On July 24, 2025, SMC Co., Ltd. Japan (Headquarters: Sapporo, Hokkaido, General Director: Katsuya Sakagami) held a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding with Thong Nhat Hospital, Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the implementation of Japanese-style medical treatment at Thong Nhat Hospital. As this activity was also sponsored by the Future-oriented Co-creation Project of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, Consul General Ono of the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City attended as a witness.

SMC Medical Tourism Japan Division (General Manager and Director: Sakagami Katsuya) has decided to provide support for arranging the acceptance of two pathologists (one pathologist and one technician) from the Pathology Department of Ha Dong General Hospital, a first-class hospital in Hanoi, Vietnam, to begin training at the Pathology Department of Kobe University Hospital from August 18, 2025. *This is part of a subsidy project from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of the Japanese government (Subsidy for Global South Future-oriented Co-creation Projects).

Monday, July 14, 2025 The Sapporo Teishinkai Hospital and Vietnam Ha Dong General Hospital held a MoU signing ceremony for an international medical exchange agreement. The two hospitals plan to collaborate on proton therapy, which is scheduled to be introduced in Vietnam, and to support the opening of a "PCI CENTER" for cardiac treatment at Vietnam Ha Dong General Hospital.
